“A great friendship exists between India and Germany in the field of science and technology. Many opportunities are available for young Indian minds in Germany. Not only for studying, there are also excellent opportunities to work in Germany”, said Dr Martin Hanz, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the German Embassy New Delhi, when he received the 2016 batch of DAAD Young Ambassadors at the German Embassy on 26th August.
Young Ambassadors are a group of Indian students and scientists, who have either studied or done research in Germany or done an internship with a German firm and promote Germany as a higher education destination. The group voluntarily works for DAAD and shares their experiences with other Indian students, who wish to study or do research in Germany.
Of the 36 Young Ambassadors, 21 attended the interaction at the German Embassy, where they were commended by Dr. Hanz on their achievements. The other Young Ambassadors are still in Germany. Dr Hanz handed over certificates of appointment to the DAAD Young Ambassadors.
